Policy Frameworks

The City of South San Francisco has embarked on a comprehensive update to the SSF General Plan, titled “Shape SSF 2040,” to create a forward-looking document that will serve as the blueprint for the City’s vision through the year 2040. The goals, policies, and actions in Shape SSF 2040 will serve as a compass for decision-makers and will shape future plans and actions of the City. This revised policy document will replace the 1999 General Plan and will inform updates to the City’s Zoning Ordinance and Climate Action Plan.

These ten policy frameworks are an interim step in the General Plan process before drafting the elements (or chapters). They highlight key outcomes, performance metrics and policies for the public to review. All policy frameworks were developed with what the General Plan Update team heard from community members, Community Advisory Committee, Planning Commission, and City Council.

At this stage of the process, we would like for you to provide feedback on the ten policy frameworks by Friday April 30, 2021.
